Episode 67 – Chris Keleher
Listen On The Podcast
Welcome back to our 67th episode of the Launch Your Farm Show where I interview Chris Keleher from Keleher & Co.
Today Chris shares how he went from teaching overseas with his pregnant wife and a baby to jumping into real estate in 2008 in the middle of the U.S. real estate crash.
Chris realized that he wanted to do his business differently than he had seen and wanted to create his business and his team around the community and doing things he actually enjoys. Chris has built his business around attraction, rather than chasing leads. As a result, he’s attracted quite an impressive career and a very active team.
In this episode Chris and I talk about:
- Why it’s important to get your name out to your community, but not by beating your chest and bragging to the world about yourself.
- Chris shares how his team focuses on getting involved in the community and how they promote themselves without being salesy and pushing real estate down their throats.
- What they do to attract clients that love working with them and how they build trust and report in their community to continually find more clients.
- A SUPER easy way to partner with local businesses and people in the farm so you can give back to the community and create a lasting impact.
- How he’s built his team to allow his agents to take charge of their time, create a business that lets them live a comfortable lifestyle and not feel trapped in the business.
- Plus a ton of other ideas that you can use to grow geographic farm!

About Our Guest
After successfully putting my Marketing degree to work at a small company in Toronto, I left my position as National Sales Manager and followed my new-found desire to travel. After driving around North America with friends for three months, I wanted to go further abroad. My next trip brought me to Asia, and eventually led me to getting my Teaching Certificate and my Masters in Special Education. With this post graduate degree, I had the opportunity to teach at one of Tokyo’s finest International Schools, an experience I will never forget. Although my wife and I were having the time of our lives, working and traveling throughout Asia, once our first son was born, we chose to make our way back to Canada. This landed us in our vacation home in beautiful Collingwood, and it wasn’t long before we knew this is where we’d settle full time.
Becoming a Real Estate Broker was something I always thought I would do one day, but couldn’t have imagined I would enjoy it so much. In fact, I thought I would just do it “part time” for some extra money. I quickly learned that this was misguided thinking! It didn’t take long to realize that it requires a lot of time, hard work, and creative thinking to be successful in this industry. Now, I find myself amongst the top agents in my industry, pushing for better service than clients have ever experienced in the past. I’m motivated and supported by an incredible team of professionals that share the same core values and work ethic that I have in Real Estate; to provide service unmatched in integrity, knowledge, local expertise, and marketing that is tough to beat.
